Zeolite for Animal Health
Zeolite Reduces Mycotoxins in Animal Feed
There are two studies on this link showing how adding zeolite (clinoptilolite) to animal feeds adsorbs harmful mycotoxins thereby improving the health of your animals:
is well worth reading, it contains information on many proven uses of zeolite in animal care. After you click this link you will find Chapter 24 at the bottom of the right hand column.

Zeolite Grades and Suppliers
All Grades of zeolite are Australian Organic Certified. Grade 2 is fed to horses and pigs, Grade 3 is fed to cattle and chickens and used to adsorb ammonia and methane.

Zeolite Reduces Methane Emissions
Cows: Cattle are ruminants, the bacteria which handles otherwise indigestible grass produce methane as a byproduct. Feeding Grade 3 Zeolite to cattle reduces methane emissions.
Pigs: Pigs are not ruminants, so they don't produce nearly as much methane as cows. But when a pile of pig manure rots, it produces methane. Grade 2 Zeolite is fed to pigs to reduce methane and for many other purposes.
Chickens: Just like pigs, the major methane producing byproduct of chickens is their manure. With intensive chicken farming this manure collects in stinking giant piles which emit methane. Grade 3 Zeolite is fed to chickens and used in their environment to reduce ammonia.
Zeolite Reduces Ammonia Levels
Ammonia causes health problems for confined animals. Stabled horses are especially vulnerable to respiratory problems which can be caused by high levels of ammonia. Click these links to read more:
