Zeolite for Healthy Pets
Add Zeolite to Food or Water
Zeolite improves the general health of your pets and can also help to improve personality problems which may be caused by toxicity.
Some dogs and cats like to drink water to which zeolite has been added. Give them two drinking bowls, one with zeolite and one without. During the day the zeolite will gradually sink to the bottom of the bowl. When this happens stir it through if the water is still fresh or pour off the old water (leaving the zeolite sediment in the bottom of the bowl) and add some fresh water. Replace the zeolite when needed.
One benefit of feeding zeolite to cats is that it reduces urine odours in their kitty litter. Our cat loves drinking zeolite water.
Zeolite can also be added to their wet feed, stir it through and they won't know it's in there. As zeolite is dehydrating we prefer to give our cat zeolite water rather than putting it in his food. This is especially important for old male cats who can suffer from urinary problems if they don't drink enough water.
Odour Control for Dogs and Cats
Bedding and Old Smells
Zeolite eliminates urine and defecation odours as well as unpleasant “doggy” smells which can linger in bedding areas.
Old and dry smelly spots can also be treated to reduce the odour. Zeolite works safely on all types of carpets and flooring, furnishings and fabrics. Sprinkle zeolite wherever odours are a problem, let it sit until they have been eliminated then sweep it up with a broom and pan.
Zeolite works better where there is moisture present. If the area you want to treat is dry, use an atomiser to lightly dampen the area before sprinkling the zeolite.
Use zeolite in kitty litter to boost moisture absorption and control odours. Sprinkle 2 - 3 tablespoons of granules over the top of the litter and shake through.
